I have received compliments from friends, telling me how different my aura is lately because of the positive vibes I exude. Thanks for the nice words, friends! I've been immersing myself in positivity. Quite naturally, you radiate with such refreshing light, and people notice! Cool. :)

I'll let you in on what I've been doing to achieve this effect:

1. Pray more often.
2. Exercise regularly! I go to the gym three to four times a week. And physical activity is the key! Regular exercise means regular release of endorphins which means a happier (and better-looking) you!
3. Never sweat the small stuff! "Don't worry, be happy" goes the song. So true! Why worry? Let go and let God! :)
4. Go out with friends more often. Spend time with positive people. And when with a negative crowd, try to be positive enough for everyone.
5. Have sex more often! (Aahh..my favorite part! Teehee.)
6. Be less of a critic. It's really not fun being a critic all the time, unless you are a critic by profession. Being less judgmental helps.
7. Be a kid more often! Laugh out loud! Enjoy the simplest things. Have fun!
8. Life is what you make it. So make it wonderful!

Like they say in a shampoo commercial, "Try it, and see the difference."

Lighten up, will ya?

A colleague told me that only brainless gits would enjoy watching Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Well then, I guess I'm proud to say I'm part of that society of dimwits because I found the flick quite nice. It wasn't Oscar material, true. The plot wasn't very complicated. But hey, it is a movie based on a cartoon. (A cartoon for kids, at that.) Why expect to be intellectually stimulated? You should've seen Schindler's List instead. Or better yet, you should've stayed home and worked on a crossword puzzle. Or played chess.

I was impressed by all the technical stuff of the movie: the sound effects, the graphics, the way the robots transformed. And the story wasn't so bad, too. They just focused too much on Shia and Megan, though. There could've been more "transforming." But overall, it was still pretty cool and entertaining. And yes, I enjoyed it. In fact, my beau and I are going to watch it again later! Yey! To the brainless society out there - let us unite! Hahaha!

And to you who's so wound up it's a wonder you can still breathe, take it easy! Life isn't all about solving complicated things. Sometimes it's fun to sit back, kick your shoes off and laugh out loud like a little kid! (And enjoy the shiny robots, too!)

Whattaman!

I stepped out to buy something to drink. When I got back to the radio booth, he was suddenly there. Hiding, at first, under our console while my two partners tried to act nonchalantly. Then, like a wonderful jack-in-the-box, he stood up with a big grin and said, "Hi, baby!" Or was it "Surprise, baby!" I honestly don't remember. I was too busy being happy.

"I have a meeting in the area. But I wanted to start my day with you."

You, my love, are the most wonderful thing that's ever happened to me.

Preparing the prelim exam for his PDPR class, I asked him curiously what his questions were. Laughing, he let me in on the list in his head:

What is your name and why?
If you're not here, where are you?
Who is the tallest among the seven dwarves?
How many wood can a woodchuck chuck?
Who is Billie Jean? Is she my lover?
How come every time you come around, my London London bridge?
Whatcha gonna do with all that junk inside your trunk?

This is one of the reasons why he is the man for me. He never fails to make me laugh.

Run, baby, run!

While others sleep-in on a Sunday morning, we RUN!




Vin, Adie and I were all up and about at 4am, ready to join the GIG Run '09 event at UP Diliman. But we missed it. They already ran out of race kits since Saturday. Since the three of us were already geared up to run, we decided to just have a fun run of our own, like what my beau and I did two Sundays ago. Jada and her hubby Mike met up with us, and we had our little groupie go 'round and 'round the UP Oval. 6km! Not so bad.



After that, the usual breakfast treat of skinless-longganisa-log at Rodic's. Winner!




The three of us (me, Vin and Adie) signed up for the Runnex Running Clinic that's there every Sunday morning. 10km running for free! Since we're really getting into the habit, and enjoying it too, we joined the group.The hard part is waking up super early every Sunday to run. Kaya yan!

Being a kid again!

That's the feeling you get when you watch a 3D film! It was my first time to see a full-length animated flick in 3D. Ang saya!



Wave 891 had a premiere of Ice Age 3 yesterday at The Block, SM City North Edsa. It was shown at their digital theater, so I felt giddy with excitement when they handed out the 3D glasses. There was a Scrat mascot at the entrance, too. So I quickly fished out my cam for a photo op. Parang bata! :)



It was the perfect way to end the workweek. Something light and fun to take away the gloominess of things: the weather and the demise of Michael Jackson.

Farewell to the King!

He died today, after going into cardiac arrest, at the age of 50.



Time described Michael Jackson as "the hottest single phenomenon since Elvis Presley."

He has supported more than thirty charities with proceeds from his concerts, more than any other celebrity or entertainer in the world. He has received numerous awards for his songs and albums, and his generosity. His music has changed the world. He has gone too soon, but his music will live on.

The world will miss the King of Pop. We love you, Michael.

We were looking for this thing I wanted to give my Dad for Father's Day. Finally, I found something that was pretty okay. We've been walking for hours. I was tired. I just wanted to buy it, get it over with. But he smiled at me.

Anne: Hindi ka pa ba pagod?

Alvin: No, I'm okay. Konting tiis lang para sa Daddy mo.

Hurray for friends!

It was like "catching up with friends" week this week. Tuesday, I had lunch with Mareng Ida and Tita Mags at Outback Libis. The last time I saw Tita Mags was during my birthday party last March, so you can just imagine the level of chikahan that we did.


Chicken wings, pasta and grilled meats, hard rain pouring outside, and the quiet ambience of the restaurant - perfect place for three good friends to chatter the afternoon away.

Wednesday, lunch with Mareng Jeje. And yes, just like Tita Mags, last time I saw this good friend of mine was during my birthday party. Hmm.. where was I anyway? I think it's not healthy to skip seeing your friends regularly. Anyway, we met up and made kwento over really good shabu shabu na parang walang katapusan at hindi nauubos. Like manna from heaven, according to Jeje. Hehe. Winner ka talaga, mare. :)

One thing I love about this amazing gal is her sincerity. She's genuinely happy for me when good things come my way. She's sad when I'm sad. She's such a delight to be with. And she exudes so much positivity, which is rare to find in people nowadays.

At sa sobrang pagka-immerse namin sa kwentuhan namin, I forgot to take pics. Sorry, mare. Next week, when the three of us meet up for lunch - you, me and Len. :)

Finally, today, I met up with my besty. After her Singing Bee stint, she appeared on national TV again, on Kris Aquino's bingo show. Sensational ka, bespren!



Very, very late lunch at The Block. We took a walk at the new Sky Garden, and it was actually my first time to see the place before night time. When I arrived at the Sky Dome during the Radio Music Awards, it was already dark and it was hard to appreciate the architecture. Quite impressive, it was. So much better than Trinoma's open fountain area. The restaurants are open until around midnight, too. So it's another good spot for gimmicks during the weekends. Kudos, SM! Now if you can just do something about your mall directory...

Random Things

Positivity. I'd like to immerse in this. It's pretty normal to rant once in a while. But I want to be surrounded by all things positive. My beau and I are practicing this, shunning the negative. Now that he's into The Secret, I'm letting myself be influenced by him. The universe will conspire with us soon.

Going back to school on Saturday. Moving up to a higher level French. But I still can't speak higher level French. Boo hoo!

I was actually thinking of not enrolling anymore. I wanted to take up a short-term culinary course at CCA. But since the sched is also during the weekends, I had to make a choice. Hmm.. I guess my cooking can wait. Until after French 4 at least. I'll decide again after three months. Let's cross the bridge when we get there.
