August was an all-travel month for me, as I rode the airplane four times. First, my girlfriends and I flew to China and explored the busy city of Shanghai.
We went around the city, with Kat and Len as our navigators. One of the really nice spots we visited was the Yu Yuan Garden in this place they called Old Town.
It was a great experience, especially since it was the first time I traveled abroad with my friends! Next trip: Hong Kong this September! Can't wait! But first, check out my Shanghai Experience.

After China, I flew to Cebu with my beau for a much-needed getaway at Shangri-La Mactan.

Let's get it on!
I am now working on a new project, and this one involves nobody else but myself!
Project title: Light and Free!
Project goal: For me to lose weight in one month.
Starting date: August 11, 2008
End date: September 11, 2008 (oh dear...9/11!)
Current weight: 105 pounds
Target weight: 98 pounds
Accomplice: Obet (my boxing instructor)
I want to drop down to a nice and light 98 pounds. Now people will tell me payat ka na! I know that. But I want to trim my 105 down to just two digits.
So Obet, who will be helping me with this project, already gave me a set of rules to follow for the next 30 days.
1. No rice
2. No pork
3. No ice cream, cakes and chocolates
4. No junk food
5. No fast food
Sabi nga niya, wala munang inuman for 1 month. Sabi ko, ayoko nga! No beer na lang. Pero Baileys pwede. Hehehe :)
I am posting about this so that I'd have an audience. There will be times na tatamarin ako and would feel like giving up. But the thought of my blog readers cheering me on will help me achieve my goal.
So there. Wish me luck!
