One restful experience

What's better than relaxing at Discovery Suites?

Relaxing at Discovery Suites with two people I love the most: my besty and my beau.

Day 1: Overnight with my bestfriend Len.

It was one long besty date, with lots of bonding and laughter and reminiscing. Sosyal pa! :)

My drawing Besty
Dinner at Burgoo Podium. We drew each other's faces. My drawing of Len looked quite a bit like her. Her drawing of me...well, it was comical. :)

Len was ecstatic about the big beds, with its thick sheets, soft comforter and plush pillows. So big she could stretch sideways and her legs wouldn't dangle off the bed. :)

Big bed yey!

And of course, our favorite part: the buffet breakfast. Heavenly!

We woke up a little past 6am so we could get a nice table by the window. Deadma na sa magulong hair. Happy and busog naman. :)

Day 2: A quiet time with my beau.

It's been a while since we last stayed in a hotel. So we relished every minute together. Quiet time, just snuggled under the sheets and catching up on stories and thoughts.

We were supposed to go to the Podium for dinner. Tinamad na kami pareho, so we just had Chinese delivered to our room.

So far, that was the best break I've had this year. Looking forward to my next stay at Discovery Suites.

You know that blissful feeling you get after finding something that's perfect for you? Like the perfect pair of jeans, the perfect top, the perfect dress that makes you look tall and slim, shoes with the perfect fit, the perfect shade of lipstick. Saya diba?

Well, I found the perfect makeup artist. And she makes me absolutely beautiful!

Parang wedding

Cheryl Cabanos of Essensuals Toni & Guy, who also does freelance. I was very much happy with how she made me look during our anniversary bash, so I got her services again, this time for my AICS graduation hosting gig. She went to my place as early as 730am, with her husband Jed carrying all her big makeup kits.

Parang wedding noh? Feeling bride. Hehehe.

After an hour and 30 minutes...voila!

Pretty me

Ang ganda ko. :)

Pretty Mommy

Even my mom looked fantastic!

And while Cheryl was busy making us pretty, Jed was busy taking pictures and making friends with our dog, Princess.

Jed and Princess - fast friends!
Fast friends!

I have found the perfect makeup artist for me. Any girl would know that finding the right one is no easy task. Instead of covering me up and hiding me behind layers and layers of makeup, she contours and enhances my own natural beauty. I love it! My own personal makeup artist. At last!

Thanks sis!

Another candle added to my birthday cake this year. 365 days short of being thirty. No longer part of the February calendar next year.

But still looking FABULOUS! :)

Bday Princess

I finally had the McDonald's party I've always wanted to have (my besty organized it for me, thanks bespren!).

It was a party for 50, and I only had less than 20 guests. (So if you were invited and you didn't go, you can now kiss my ass. Hehehe. Kidding). But we had a great time nevertheless. Check out the plenty plenty pics (courtesy of Alvin and Edward).

I had the party 29th, but my birthday was really the day before. I had a working birthday because...

Wave 891 is now seven years older, and seven times stronger!

Makin' It Happen at Seven (our big anniversary bash) was held last March 28 (my bday) at the Central Plaza of Eastwood City. We had food from Outback Retsurant, Wham Burgers and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. We had live music from big artists like Jay Durias, Nina, Thor, Jinky Vidal of Freestyle, Luke Mejares, Jay-R, etc.

We launched our fantastic new 2008 jingle together with the anniversary CD sporting our new kickass logo and pictures of us jocks with a totally new look and feel that's perfect for the station's image. We also gave away limited edition Wave 891 jackets courtesy of Mossimo. We had a great time and it was a very successful event.

Hurray, Wave 891!

Belle of the Ball

And thank you very much, Cheryl Cabanos of Essensuals Toni & Guy for making me the BELLE OF THE BALL! :)

Daddy's Girl

My daddy bought me shoes yesterday. Now it may not be a big deal for others. But it is for me. See, my dad, being the very busy man that he is, rarely has free time on weekdays. He's always busy running the family business - all our 17 AICS schools. And so that's why it means so much to me. My daddy spent time with me yesterday. He made time to go to the mall with me, so I could pick the shoes I want and then he'd buy them for me as a birthday gift. It isn't the gift itself but the time he gave me that made me feel that he loves me.

My daddy loves me. Forget the shoes, I can go barefoot. His love for me is all that matters.
